About This Site

I have been intrigued by the coffee making ritual ever since childhood. I recall making coffee for my mother in a Turkish cezve, carefully watching the foam at the top of the coffee so it did not overflow as I allowed it to rise and subside three times. I still remember the aroma of that coffee. Unfortunately I was not allowed to drink it yet at that time. But what I was allowed was a "black cube": I would bring a cube of sugar and my mother would then put the sugar on a spoon and dip it in her coffee. I would then eat the "black cube" directly from the spoon - that was the best sweet ever!

I have set up this site to share what I know about different coffee makers, espresso machines and coffee grinders and also to invite you, my visitors, to share your own experience. I hope that you'll find my site useful and interesting.
