Bialetti Moka Express and other Bialetti Espresso Makers
Bialetti Moka Express
It's 1933 and Italy is going to experience something that will change every household's life for ever ... Yes, the Moka Express arrives!
No, quite seriously, Moka Express really redefined the word coffee. Before Alfonso Bialetti introduced the Moka Express in 1933, espresso was drunk mainly in coffee bars. Moka Express brought the espresso-style coffee into Italian homes.
Today, the Bialetti Moka Express is still just the same: iconic design that has become familiar to people all over the world. A design that is simple, elegant and functional - simply timeless. The Moka Express is made from polished aluminum that gives you the feeling of strength, lightness and quality. Perfect!
Bialetti Easy Cafe Electric
This is an electric Moka pot. You use it almost in the same way as Moka Express. The main difference: instead of putting the Moka pot on the stove, you put it onto the electrical base and turn on a switch and then just wait until the coffee is ready. The unit will switch itself off automatically.
Bialetti Brikka
Bialetti's motto has always been "in casa un espresso come al bar" - "An espresso in the home just like one in the bar". No product matches that as well as the Bialetti Brikka. Brikka is the only stovetop coffee maker that produces a crema. With Brikka you don't really need an expensive espresso machine!
Bialetti Brikka uses a patented pressure valve that allows higher pressure to build up in the bottom part. So the coffee is actually brewed at higher pressure. This pressure causes the coffee to come up very quickly and that produces a wonderful crema. It is pretty unbelievable. If you have never seen a Brikka in action then have a look at this video from YouTube.
Bialetti Mukka Express
The Mukka Express is a stovetop cappuccino maker. It works similar to Brikka - but if you want cappuccino or latte, you put some cold milk into the top part before you start brewing. The Mukka Express has a special pressure valve that gets the steam to froth the milk. This valve has two positions - one for cappuccino and one for latte. So, you can make cappuccino, latte or plain espresso in it.There is also an electric version - Mukka Express Electric.
Bialetti Mokona espresso machine
Bialetti Monoka is a fully fledged espresso machine in a shape of Bialetti Moka Express. That looks simply stunning. This is a new product so is not yet widely available.
Other Bialetti Espresso Makers
Bialetti offers many other espresso makers. Most of them are just a variation on Moka Express. If you are into aluminum models, Bialetti has several different styles like Dama Gran Gala or Pink Dama - and obviously the Bialetti Moka Express. My personal favorite is the Bialetti Mini Express. This does not have any coffee receiving chamber at the top - instead you collect the coffee directly to your cups. It's cool.
There is also a number of stainless steel models. They are all very nicely designed. I like Bialetti Class and Bialetti Musa the most out of the lot.
