Every coffee drinker has an opinion as to what type of coffee is the best. You may have tried many different brands, blends and roasts. Although many people drink instant coffee, I have found this is not conducive to the rich flavor that is experienced when drinking freshly brewed coffee. The taste is just not the same.
Although I used to believe that the best cup of coffee overall was plain coffee brewed from Arabica beans, I have since changed my mind. The best cup of coffee I have ever had was Mocha coffee. It may be because I love chocolate, but then again, it might be that it is just a great tasting coffee.
As a coffee drinker who does not add sugar (only a little creamer) to their coffee, I had shied away from trying any type of coffee that required sweetener to be added. My daughter, who is a coffee aficionado, convinced me to try Mocha coffee. The preparation of her version of Mocha coffee is simple. A freshly brewed cup of coffee, a tablespoon of cocoa powder (unsweetened), a tablespoon of sugar and coffee creamer to suit your taste are the basic ingredients. A dash of vanilla extract can be added.
She simply brews the coffee, adds the above ingredients and a delicious Mocha coffee is the end result. I was converted from a plain coffee drinker to the world of Mocha. She recently purchased an espresso machine and uses it to make Mocha coffee. In addition, she has been experimenting with different methods of making the coffee using different ingredients.
Using espresso coffee, steamed milk and flavored syrup is another way of making this drink. There are a variety of flavored syrups available and I believe she has tried all of them. However, she recently made Mocha coffee using espresso coffee and ingredients that were a little different than the original drink that converted me from a plain coffee drinker.
Her latest version and truly the best cup of coffee I have ever had is made by using the following ingredients. The amount of the ingredients can be adjusted accordingly, but this is what is used to make two cups. Two cups of espresso coffee, 1/3 cup of cocoa, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 cups of milk are combined. Pour this into a cup and top it with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon.
